meet jbw.

first things first, i had very good intentions of having super bowl pictures to post. well, i ate cheese dip and cookies so i didnt have time to take pictures. sorry guys. but we had fun. so thanks to our friends chris jackson and nathan sing for opening their home.

next, i wanted to introduce my wonderful husband to everyone.

meet josh. aka: "j"

5 things I LOVE about my husband (beside the obvious):

1. He automatically locks the door when we come home. You see, if he didnt do this... a. it would be hours before i realized the door was unlocked and b. i would not know if the door was really locked and this would not be good for me because i am continually scared of our home being broken into (being a scaredy cat is not of the Lord and i am working on this).

2. He lets me warm my cold feet on him, even though im sure this is painful for him. :)
(most cold natured person ever!)

3. He randomly dances in our home, and i mean RANDOM!

4. He watches shows with me that most men would not watch with their women.
(and i will not name them because he may not watch them with me anymore)

5. He wears Sperry's with everything, including gym shorts as seen above. and im not sure that its the Sperry's that i love (actually im very sure its not), but the fact that he is his own person and not conformed to the image of this world. he has his own style and is completely joshua. i love that he just doesnt care what people think and i wish i could be more like that.

This wonderful husband of mine is my love and my life, besides our Savior. Josh is one of the most Godly men i know and im so blessed to be able to say that God chose me to be his wife.

and my last thought for the night is to say,

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SISTER!
my dear sweet sister in law turns 20 today.
(as in feb 7, if there were any questions)
we are so proud of the young woman she is and we love her very much!
oh, and miss her terribly!

welcome to kentucky.

so back in october i decided i was going to be a blogger, but after a very short lived adventure aka one post, it ended.

but im back- thanks to women at my home church who would like to keep up with us and our new home.

so on january 21 we packed up the truck and headed west on 40 (and some other highways) and ended up in Louisville, Kentucky. there was an apartment waiting for us and some school books with josh's name on them. and thats where we currently live- for two very cold weeks now. north carolina was much warmer in my mind. things are good here (i think i have said that sentence so much its now programmed to come out of my mouth). things are actually lonely and cold and snowy at times here. we are working on the job thing and the friend thing, and praying spring shows up somewhere. the good news is josh loves school! but of course he does, when he grows up he wants to be a scholar. :)

all in all, we trust God. we moved on faith and we are living day by day on faith. we know this unexplainable city is where God wants us, so we are doing this only with His help.

so now we start our "we are in seminary!" stage of life. and as we do that we ask for prayers and encouragement.
